Maternal Mental Health
As many as 1 in 5 women in the United States experience perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD) during pregnancy or after birth—and countless more suffer in silence. There are significant economic impacts as well: Mothers who experience PMAD incur 90% higher healthcare costs and the annual cost of untreated maternal depression for companies is estimated at $5.7 billion.
In May 2018, Maven conducted a national survey of over 700 new moms who suffered from PMAD to shed light on the maternal mental health experience. Fill out the form below to see the full results.
